About Turkish Lira / Japanese Yen
TRY/JPY is the exchange rate between the Turkish lira and the Japanese yen. The price shows how many Japanese yen one Turkish lira buys: when TRYJPY rises, the Turkish lira is strengthening against the Japanese yen; when it falls, it is weakening.
TRY/JPY is a minor or exotic cross, so it usually trades with less liquidity and wider spreads than the majors and can move sharply around local news. The Turkish lira is a high-volatility emerging-market currency that has historically reacted strongly to inflation and changes in monetary policy. The Japanese yen has long been used as a funding currency because of Japan's low interest rates, and it often strengthens when markets turn risk-averse.
On Xellion's MT5 platform TRYJPY is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 Turkish lira; the pip size and value are shown in the MT5 contract specification.
