  • Instrument: EURUSD at 1.0850
  • Position: 1 lot
  • Leverage: 1:500
  • Account currency: USD
Position value: 1 × 100,000 × 1.0850 = 108,500 USD

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is margin calculated?

Required margin = lots × contract size × price ÷ leverage, converted into your account currency. For example 1 lot of EURUSD at 1.0850 with 1:500 leverage needs 217 USD.

What leverage does Xellion offer?

Leverage up to 1:2000 is available depending on the instrument and account type. Higher leverage lowers the margin needed but makes losses grow just as fast as profits.

What is a margin call?

If losses reduce your equity close to the margin used, you receive a margin call. If equity keeps falling, positions are closed automatically at the stop-out level to protect your account.

What contract sizes does the calculator use?

Forex 100,000 units per lot, XAUUSD 100 oz, XAGUSD 5,000 oz, indices 1 contract and BTCUSD 1 coin per lot.

Does higher leverage mean higher risk?

Leverage itself doesn't change what a pip is worth, but it lets you open bigger positions with less money. Bigger positions mean bigger losses, so always size trades by risk, not by available margin.
