About Swedish Krona / Japanese Yen
SEK/JPY is the exchange rate between the Swedish krona and the Japanese yen. The price shows how many Japanese yen one Swedish krona buys: when SEKJPY rises, the Swedish krona is strengthening against the Japanese yen; when it falls, it is weakening.
SEK/JPY is a minor or exotic cross, so it usually trades with less liquidity and wider spreads than the majors and can move sharply around local news. The Swedish krona reflects a small, export-oriented economy and is sensitive to global growth and risk appetite. The Japanese yen has long been used as a funding currency because of Japan's low interest rates, and it often strengthens when markets turn risk-averse.
On Xellion's MT5 platform SEKJPY is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 Swedish kronor; the pip size and value are shown in the MT5 contract specification.
