ABOUT

About New Zealand Dollar / Canadian Dollar

NZD/CAD is the exchange rate between the New Zealand dollar and the Canadian dollar. The price shows how many Canadian dollars one New Zealand dollar buys: when NZDCAD rises, the New Zealand dollar is strengthening against the Canadian dollar; when it falls, it is weakening.

NZD/CAD is a cross pair: neither side is the US dollar, so its price reflects the balance between New Zealand and Canada directly. The New Zealand dollar reflects an economy built heavily on agricultural exports such as dairy, and it tends to move with global risk appetite. The Canadian dollar is tied closely to oil, one of Canada's main exports, and to the US economy, its biggest trading partner.

On Xellion's MT5 platform NZDCAD is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 New Zealand dollars, and one pip is 0.0001.
