About Euro / New Zealand Dollar
EUR/NZD is the exchange rate between the euro and the New Zealand dollar. The price shows how many New Zealand dollars one euro buys: when EURNZD rises, the euro is strengthening against the New Zealand dollar; when it falls, it is weakening.
EUR/NZD is a cross pair: neither side is the US dollar, so its price reflects the balance between the euro area and New Zealand directly. The euro is the shared currency of the euro-area countries and is the second most widely held reserve currency. The New Zealand dollar reflects an economy built heavily on agricultural exports such as dairy, and it tends to move with global risk appetite.
On Xellion's MT5 platform EURNZD is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 euros, and one pip is 0.0001.
