About US Dollar / Mexican Peso
USD/MXN is the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Mexican peso. The price shows how many Mexican pesos one US dollar buys: when USDMXN rises, the US dollar is strengthening against the Mexican peso; when it falls, it is weakening.
USD/MXN is an exotic pair, combining a major currency with an emerging or smaller-market currency, so it usually trades with less liquidity and wider spreads than the majors and can move sharply around local news. The US dollar is the world's main reserve currency and sits on one side of most foreign-exchange trades. The Mexican peso is one of the most traded emerging-market currencies and is closely linked to the US economy through trade.
On Xellion's MT5 platform USDMXN is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 US dollars; the pip size and value are shown in the MT5 contract specification.

USDMXN questions
What does the USDMXN price mean?
It is the number of Mexican pesos needed to buy one US dollar. A rising price means the US dollar is gaining against the Mexican peso; a falling price means it is losing ground.
When is USDMXN most active?
Like all major FX pairs, USDMXN trades around the clock on weekdays, but it is usually busiest during the New York session, when markets for both currencies are open.
How much is one pip worth on USDMXN?
Pip value on USDMXN depends on the pip size in the MT5 contract specification and on the Mexican peso exchange rate against your account currency. Because Mexican pesos are converted into your account currency, the value per pip changes as that rate moves.
How much margin do I need for one lot of USDMXN?
Margin is the position value divided by your leverage. One lot is 100,000 US dollars, so at 1:500 you need 200 USD and at 1:100 you need 1,000 USD, converted into your account currency. Leverage up to 1:2000 is available depending on your account; the margin calculator gives the exact figure.
