About US Dollar / Indonesian Rupiah
USD/IDR is the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Indonesian rupiah. The price shows how many Indonesian rupiah one US dollar buys: when USDIDR rises, the US dollar is strengthening against the Indonesian rupiah; when it falls, it is weakening.
USD/IDR is an exotic pair, combining a major currency with an emerging or smaller-market currency, so it usually trades with less liquidity and wider spreads than the majors and can move sharply around local news. The US dollar is the world's main reserve currency and sits on one side of most foreign-exchange trades. The Indonesian rupiah reflects Southeast Asia's largest economy, with links to commodity exports such as coal, palm oil and nickel.
Where offered on Xellion's MT5 platform, USDIDR is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 US dollars; the pip size and value are shown in the MT5 contract specification.

USDIDR questions
What does the USDIDR price mean?
It is the number of Indonesian rupiah needed to buy one US dollar. A rising price means the US dollar is gaining against the Indonesian rupiah; a falling price means it is losing ground.
When is USDIDR most active?

How much is one pip worth on USDIDR?
Pip value on USDIDR depends on the pip size in the MT5 contract specification and on the Indonesian rupiah exchange rate against your account currency. Because Indonesian rupiah are converted into your account currency, the value per pip changes as that rate moves.
How much margin do I need for one lot of USDIDR?
Margin is the position value divided by your leverage. One lot is 100,000 US dollars, so at 1:500 you need 200 USD and at 1:100 you need 1,000 USD, converted into your account currency. Leverage up to 1:2000 is available depending on your account; the margin calculator gives the exact figure.
