About US Dollar / Hong Kong Dollar
USD/HKD is the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Hong Kong dollar. The price shows how many Hong Kong dollars one US dollar buys: when USDHKD rises, the US dollar is strengthening against the Hong Kong dollar; when it falls, it is weakening.
USD/HKD is an exotic pair, combining a major currency with an emerging or smaller-market currency, so it usually trades with less liquidity and wider spreads than the majors and can move sharply around local news. The US dollar is the world's main reserve currency and sits on one side of most foreign-exchange trades. The Hong Kong dollar is pegged to the US dollar within a narrow band, so its moves against other currencies largely mirror the US dollar's.
On Xellion's MT5 platform USDHKD is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 US dollars; the pip size and value are shown in the MT5 contract specification.

USDHKD questions
What does the USDHKD price mean?
It is the number of Hong Kong dollars needed to buy one US dollar. A rising price means the US dollar is gaining against the Hong Kong dollar; a falling price means it is losing ground.
When is USDHKD most active?
USDHKD trades around the clock on weekdays, but it is usually busiest during the Tokyo and New York sessions. The forex market hours tool shows those sessions in your local time.
How much is one pip worth on USDHKD?
Pip value on USDHKD depends on the pip size in the MT5 contract specification and on the Hong Kong dollar exchange rate against your account currency. Because Hong Kong dollars are converted into your account currency, the value per pip changes as that rate moves.
How much margin do I need for one lot of USDHKD?
Margin is the position value divided by your leverage. One lot is 100,000 US dollars, so at 1:500 you need 200 USD and at 1:100 you need 1,000 USD, converted into your account currency. Leverage up to 1:2000 is available depending on your account; the margin calculator gives the exact figure.
