ABOUT

About British Pound / New Zealand Dollar

GBP/NZD is the exchange rate between the British pound and the New Zealand dollar. The price shows how many New Zealand dollars one British pound buys: when GBPNZD rises, the British pound is strengthening against the New Zealand dollar; when it falls, it is weakening.

GBP/NZD is a cross pair: neither side is the US dollar, so its price reflects the balance between the United Kingdom and New Zealand directly. The British pound is one of the oldest currencies still in use and is traded heavily in London, the largest forex centre. The New Zealand dollar reflects an economy built heavily on agricultural exports such as dairy, and it tends to move with global risk appetite.

On Xellion's MT5 platform GBPNZD is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 British pounds, and one pip is 0.0001.

What moves the price
