About British Pound / Swiss Franc
GBP/CHF is the exchange rate between the British pound and the Swiss franc. The price shows how many Swiss francs one British pound buys: when GBPCHF rises, the British pound is strengthening against the Swiss franc; when it falls, it is weakening.
GBP/CHF is a cross pair: neither side is the US dollar, so its price reflects the balance between the United Kingdom and Switzerland directly. The British pound is one of the oldest currencies still in use and is traded heavily in London, the largest forex centre. The Swiss franc is backed by Switzerland's stable economy and is widely treated as a safe-haven currency.
On Xellion's MT5 platform GBPCHF is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 British pounds, and one pip is 0.0001.
