Cup and handle
A cup and handle consists of a rounded decline and recovery, followed by a smaller pullback or consolidation near the prior high. It is commonly interpreted as a bullish continuation pattern when price breaks above the handle's resistance, but further gains are not guaranteed.
In a hypothetical chart, price gradually recovers to an earlier high, pauses in a shallow pullback, then rises above the handle's upper boundary.
