Accumulation/distribution line
The accumulation/distribution line is a cumulative indicator that weights volume by the close's position within each period's high-low range. Closes above the midpoint add to the line, while closes below subtract. It does not directly measure capital entering or leaving a market, and available volume data affects interpretation.
With a hypothetical high of 110, low of 100, close of 108, and volume of 500, the multiplier is 0.6, adding 300 to the line.
