“XM vs Exness” is one of the most common broker comparisons Indian traders search for. Both are large international brokers, both support MetaTrader, and both are popular in India. But the questions most people actually want answered are practical: what is the XM minimum deposit, what is the Exness minimum deposit, can I fund with UPI, and how fast do withdrawals arrive?

This guide answers those questions using only what each broker publishes on its own website, with the date we checked. Where a fact was not published, we write “check on site” rather than guess. We also show how Xellion compares on the same points, with UPI deposits and fast payouts first. For the full side-by-side tables and sources, see Xellion vs XM and Xellion vs Exness.

XM vs Exness vs Xellion at a glance

XM and Exness facts come from each broker's own pages, checked between 3 and 5 November 2026 (sources are listed on our comparison pages). Brokers change their terms often, so confirm every figure on the broker's own website on the day you sign up.

XM minimum deposit

XM's account types page lists a minimum deposit of $5 for both the Standard and Ultra Low accounts, and $10,000 for the Shares account. XM says amounts are shown in USD, with the equivalent shown for deposits in other currencies.

A low minimum is useful for testing a platform, but remember that a very small balance leaves little room for normal price moves. Many traders start with a demo account, then fund an amount they can afford to lose.

Exness minimum deposit

Exness's own account pages list a minimum deposit of $10 for the Standard and Standard Cent accounts, and $500 in India for the Pro, Zero and Raw Spread accounts. Minimums can also vary by payment method, so check the figure shown for your own account and method after you log in.

UPI deposits: XM vs Exness

For most Indian traders, UPI is the deciding factor. It is fast, familiar and works with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and bank apps.

  • Exness: its Help Centre explains how to deposit with UPI and with online bank transfer in India.
  • XM: it does not publish a list for India; it names cards, bank transfers, local transfers and e-wallets, and shows the methods for each account after log-in – so check on site.

When you check any broker, look for:

  • UPI availability for your account type.
  • Minimum UPI deposit.
  • Credit speed – instant should mean minutes.
  • Fees – both the broker's and your bank's.

On Xellion, UPI is listed as instant from $50, and deposits must come from an account in your own name. Bank transfer deposits start from $100 and are credited within one business day.

Withdrawal speed: XM vs Exness

Fast payouts are what most traders care about after the first deposit.

  • XM: the xm.com homepage (5 Nov 2026) says “Instant Withdrawals” and that “92.9% of our withdrawals are automatically approved”. A specific time for India withdrawals by method was not shown, so check on site for your method.
  • Exness: withdrawal times by method were not published on the pages we checked – check on site.
  • Xellion: the funding page lists bank withdrawals at about 15–20 minutes and crypto withdrawals (USDT, BTC, ETH) as instant. Withdrawals go to an account in your own name by the method you deposited with; UPI deposits are paid out by bank transfer.

Whatever broker you use, the best test is simple: make a small deposit, request a small withdrawal and time it from request to credit.

Exness MT5 vs XM MT5

Both brokers support MetaTrader 5. XM lists MT4, MT5 and the XM App; Exness lists MT5, MT4, its web-based Exness Terminal and the Exness Trade app.

MetaTrader 5 works the same way at every broker: you download MT5, choose the broker's server and log in with your account number and password. What differs is the server name, the instruments available and the trading costs. Xellion accounts log in on MT5 server Xellion-Live – our MT5 download and login guide walks through Android, iPhone, PC and web step by step. Xellion also offers its own app and WebTrader – see the platforms page.

Costs to compare beyond the minimum deposit

The minimum deposit is only the entry ticket. Over time, trading costs matter more. Compare each broker on:

Which is better for you: XM, Exness or an alternative?

There is no single winner in XM vs Exness – it depends on what you value most:

  • Lowest possible starting amount: XM lists $5 on its Standard and Ultra Low accounts; Exness lists $10 on Standard.
  • UPI and fast payouts: compare the published UPI minimum and withdrawal time at each broker. Xellion publishes UPI from $50 (instant) and bank withdrawals at about 15–20 minutes.
  • Platform choice: all three support MetaTrader 5; check which app suits you.
  • Learning first: use a free demo before funding – see our demo trading guide.

Leverage is offered by all three, and higher leverage magnifies losses as well as gains. For a wider view, read our comparison of the best forex trading apps in India, or start with the basics in what is forex trading.

XM vs Exness for beginners: what to check first

If this is your first forex account, do not choose on the minimum deposit alone. Look at how easy it is to learn the platform, how clear the fee information is, and how quickly support answers a simple question in writing. Check that you can place a stop loss on every order from the mobile app, and that the app shows your margin level clearly.

Trade during active hours, when spreads are usually tighter – our guide to forex market timings in India shows the sessions in IST. Keep your first live deposit small, and treat the first month as practice with real money rather than a way to earn. Whichever broker you pick, keep a simple record of every deposit, trade and withdrawal.

Five-step test for any forex broker

  1. Open the broker's funding page and note UPI availability, minimum and withdrawal time.
  2. Open a free demo and place a few practice trades.
  3. Compare spreads on the same pair at the same time.
  4. Fund a small amount by UPI.
  5. Request a small withdrawal and time it.

Getting started with Xellion

  1. Sign up and verify your identity.
  2. Choose Standard, Raw Spread or Zero Spread on the accounts page.
  3. Deposit by UPI from $50 – details on the funding page.
  4. Trade on the Xellion app, MT5 or WebTrader, or try a free demo on MT5 first.
