About Euro / Chinese Yuan (offshore)
EUR/CNH is the exchange rate between the euro and the offshore Chinese yuan. The price shows how many offshore Chinese yuan one euro buys: when EURCNH rises, the euro is strengthening against the offshore Chinese yuan; when it falls, it is weakening.
EUR/CNH is a minor or exotic cross, so it usually trades with less liquidity and wider spreads than the majors and can move sharply around local news. The euro is the shared currency of the euro-area countries and is the second most widely held reserve currency. The offshore yuan (CNH) trades outside mainland China and is influenced by the daily reference rate the People's Bank of China sets for the onshore yuan.
On Xellion's MT5 platform EURCNH is traded as a CFD, so you can go long or short without exchanging either currency. One standard lot is 100,000 euros; the pip size and value are shown in the MT5 contract specification.

EURCNH questions
What does the EURCNH price mean?
It is the number of offshore Chinese yuan needed to buy one euro. A rising price means the euro is gaining against the offshore Chinese yuan; a falling price means it is losing ground.
When is EURCNH most active?
EURCNH trades around the clock on weekdays, but it is usually busiest during the Tokyo and London sessions, and especially in the hours when the two sessions overlap. The forex market hours tool shows those sessions in your local time.
How much is one pip worth on EURCNH?
Pip value on EURCNH depends on the pip size in the MT5 contract specification and on the offshore Chinese yuan exchange rate against your account currency. Because offshore Chinese yuan are converted into your account currency, the value per pip changes as that rate moves.
How much margin do I need for one lot of EURCNH?
Margin is the position value divided by your leverage. One lot is 100,000 euros, so at 1:500 you need 200 EUR and at 1:100 you need 1,000 EUR, converted into your account currency. Leverage up to 1:2000 is available depending on your account; the margin calculator gives the exact figure.
