TRADING GLOSSARY
Trendline
A trendline is a line drawn on a chart connecting selected price lows or highs to illustrate a direction of movement. Its placement involves judgement, and a move through it does not by itself establish that a trend has reversed.
EXAMPLE
On a hypothetical chart, an analyst connects successive higher lows with an upward-sloping line, then observes how later prices behave around it.
