Price channel
A price channel is a chart formation bounded by roughly parallel lines marking upper and lower areas of price movement. Channels can slope upward, slope downward or remain horizontal, but their boundaries are analytical references rather than guaranteed turning points.
On a hypothetical chart, prices repeatedly move between rising upper and lower boundaries, forming an upward channel before eventually crossing below it.
