TRADING GLOSSARY
Order flow
Order flow is the stream of buy and sell orders reaching a market or trading firm, including their size, timing, and direction. Analysing it can reveal trading pressure, but any view may cover only part of the market.
EXAMPLE
In an illustrative session, repeated market buy orders consume available sell orders. This shows buying pressure on that venue, without guaranteeing that prices will keep rising.
