TRADING GLOSSARY
Order book
An order book lists outstanding buy and sell orders for an instrument, usually grouped by price and quantity. It shows available interest on a particular venue or feed, not necessarily across the whole market.
EXAMPLE
In a hypothetical order book, sellers offer 100 shares at $20 and 200 at $20.10. A market buy for 150 shares could execute across both levels.
