Good-till-cancelled order
A good-till-cancelled order remains active until it is filled or cancelled, subject to the provider's rules. Despite its name, it may have a maximum lifespan or be removed after specified events rather than remain open indefinitely.
EXAMPLE
In a hypothetical scenario, a trader leaves a buy limit active overnight. It remains pending the next day because its good-till-cancelled instruction has not expired.
