TRADING GLOSSARY
Dealing desk
A dealing desk is a team or function that manages quotes, trades, and trading risk at a financial firm. In retail forex and CFDs, it may handle client orders internally, act as counterparty, or arrange external hedging.
EXAMPLE
In an illustrative brokerage arrangement, a dealing desk offsets some client trades internally and hedges remaining exposure externally, rather than sending every client order directly to a venue.
