TRADING GLOSSARY
Day trading
Day trading is a style in which positions are opened and closed within the same trading day rather than held overnight. It can involve short or extended intraday trades, with results affected by price movements, transaction costs and execution conditions.
EXAMPLE
In a hypothetical trading day, a trader opens a currency position during the morning and closes it before their trading day ends, regardless of the outcome.
