Scalping
Scalping is a trading style involving very short holding periods, often seconds or minutes, with trades seeking small price movements. Frequent transactions make spreads, commissions and execution quality particularly important, and small intended gains do not imply small potential losses.
In a hypothetical session, a trader opens and closes several positions within minutes; spreads and commissions reduce the result of each completed trade.
