TRADING GLOSSARY
Push notification
A push notification is a message sent by a platform or service to a linked device, commonly a mobile phone. It may report alerts or account events, but delivery depends on settings, connectivity, and service availability.
EXAMPLE
In an illustrative scenario, a price alert triggers a phone notification while the desktop platform is open; a connection problem could delay its arrival.
