Iceberg order
An iceberg order displays only part of its total quantity in an order book, while the rest stays hidden. As the visible portion executes, more quantity can be displayed under venue-specific rules. This limits visible size but does not eliminate market impact.
In a hypothetical example, an iceberg order contains 1,000 units but displays 100. After those 100 fill, another portion becomes visible under the venue's rules.
