Evening star
An evening star is a three-candle potential bearish reversal pattern following a rise: a long rising candle, a small-bodied candle, and a falling candle closing well into the first body. Classical versions include a gap around the middle candle, but the pattern does not guarantee further declines.
In a hypothetical chart, a long rising candle is followed by a small body above it. A falling candle then closes below the midpoint of the first candle’s body.
