Aroon indicator
The Aroon indicator measures how recently a market recorded its highest high and lowest low within a chosen lookback period. Its Aroon Up and Aroon Down lines range from 0 to 100 and help describe trend direction and persistence, rather than the size of price changes.
EXAMPLE
On a hypothetical chart, repeated new highs keep Aroon Up near its upper limit, while an older low leaves Aroon Down lower.
