Virtual private server
A virtual private server, or VPS, is a remotely hosted virtual computer that can run trading software without relying on a user's local computer staying switched on. Availability and connection speed depend on the hosting service, and outages or software failures remain possible.
In an illustrative setup, an Expert Advisor runs on a hosted VPS while the user's laptop is off, but a hosting outage could interrupt its operation.
