Heikin-Ashi chart
A Heikin-Ashi chart uses calculated candles to smooth price movement rather than displaying ordinary open, high, low, and close values. Its close averages the current period’s four prices, while its open averages the previous Heikin-Ashi open and close; displayed candle values may differ from executable market prices.
With hypothetical open, high, low, and close prices of 100, 108, 98, and 106, the Heikin-Ashi close is 103, not the actual closing price of 106.
